We're doing our best to stop oil imports by returning to

STEAM!!!

With more than six
years of restoration
work behind us,
American Locomotive
Company (ALCo) 2-8-0
#18 returned to active
service...

MAY 24TH, 2008

Our passenger excursions are also powered by one of our two World War II era diesel-electric locomotives, which are also used weekly in our freight operations. Both engines were built by General Electric at their locomotive facility in Erie, PA. The 44-ton centercab No111 was built in 1947 and delivered new to the Arcade & Attica Railroad. No112 was built in 1945 and delivered to the United States Navy. The A&A purchased the engine from the City of Colorado Springs Railroad in 1988 to supplement the ailing engine No111. Today, No111 has been returned to full operation.

We're Ready .......

0000-00-00 howie729 Nice new website!! I currently live on Perry Rd in North Java. I have been a life long fan of the A&A and plan on riding on the first trip for #18. I have many memories of the railroad and hope for many more with my son.
0000-00-00 Melissa Shearer Normal the childrens ride with our 2 Day Cares. The Children all love it. Thank you. today we are looking for the 2008 train rides to plan our events for summer.
0000-00-00 Betty Ferro I haven\'t ridden your train yet, but it is one of the things I plan to do this year. I come from a railroad family, father & brothers all worked for NYCRR. Brothers still work for Conrail.
0000-00-00 Gary King It's good to see that Old #18 is back in service. I grew up in Arcade and had two Uncles that worked for the A&A, both freight and excursion. My Uncle Don King was a mechanic in the Round House and helped keep the engines in order. My Uncle 'Bud' King was an engineer and is pictured in your literature. I have fond memories of the A&A. Uncle Bud once let me ride in the freight engine (not policy I\'m sure) on a delivery to the state prison in Attica. Quite a thrill for a young boy. I remember taking my BB gun for protection. What a hoot (no pun intended).
0000-00-00 Diana Allinson Our family had the pleasure of riding the train years ago. My boys were 5 and 11 years old at that time. Now we are bring our granddaughter and looking forward to sharing a great and memorible time.
0000-00-00 Rick Manzone Had a great time
0000-00-00 THOMAS E RUSSELL LOOKING FORWARD TO TRIP
0000-00-00 Cuba Maybe you should say something about JT since he has done so much for the train.
0000-00-00 Sarah and Family My family and I (including our Thomas fanatic 3 year old son) really enjoyed your fall foliage tour. It was a wonderful thing to do with our out of town family and the steam engine experience is beyond compare. Thank you so much!
0000-00-00 Barb My first trip was a birthday ride for my grandson who loved every minute of the ride...as we left the train, I signed up for the Civil War trip as a gift for my brother....Our group grew to 6 people and we had an excellent time....the reenactors were very informative. the ride was excellent.....
